Anyone who’s played Roblox for a good while has probably at least heard of the All Star Tower Defense game. Modded to add an anime flair to your regular tower defense battle, this game features all your favorite anime characters using their elemental abilities to fight and defend down to the last voxel. It’s quite an enjoyable spin on your usual tower defense simulator, which is why it’s grown to be quite popular in the past year.
Winning in All Star Tower Defense requires in-depth knowledge to form the best squad possible to take you to the final stages. It’s no wonder we’ve got Youtubers, gaming websites, subreddits, and Discord servers all clamoring to rank each character from top to bottom.
With our All Star Tower Defense Tier List, you don’t need to look anywhere else to get an updated bird’s eye view of the best characters you can include in your team. We’ve got all the characters listed from SS to D rank for you!
ALL STAR TOWER DEFENSE TIER LIST: RANKING YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS
SS-TIER
These units have the best chance of dominating in Infinite Mode, and have proven to have ranked in world records and leaderboards several times over. If you have these units in your team, you are most certifiably killing it.

S-TIER
If you’re not constantly aiming to win at Infinite Mode and would like to complete the story or win in PvP with the best characters that are a little bit more obtainable, then we’ve got the S-Tier rank for you. These units are the best of the lot for this current patch but are considered replaceable/power-creepable as new units are added to the game.

A-TIER
Are you newer to the game or having trouble getting the best characters for your team? Worry not, because our All Star Tower Defense Tier List also has these units listed out for players who would want someone more obtainable, but still good enough to considerably progress through the main Story Mode. These characters won’t net you much results in PvP, much less in Infinite Mode, but if you’re just aiming to clear out the story they are quite good enough.
B-TIER
If you’re just starting out and would like to progress through the mid-game in Story Mode, these characters will get you from Levels 20 to 60. It’s recommended to switch them out once you get past this margin, but if these are the units you’ve got in mid-game, they will definitely carry you through.
C-TIER
Now, if you are a beginner looking to make your way from Levels 1 to 30, then these are the units that are cheap and will carry you through. It is absolutely recommended to replace them as soon as you get to Levels 31 and up, however.
D-TIER
People need to start somewhere, and you definitely won’t be getting powerful characters at the start of your game. If you’re just looking to get through the first 10-15 levels, then these are the units you can try out.
CONCLUSION

How Leveling Works
In All Star Tower Defense there is a system to increase a character’s level using other units as fodder. You can feed units to others to raise their base damage at any upgrade by a single percentage (e.g. level 21 = +20% damage). For units like Wish, Salesman, Sword (Maid) and Bellma (Money Corp), the money/HP that they give per wave is increased by an increasing amount per upgrade (Upgrade 0 is unaffected while the Max Upgrade is a noticeable improvement).
While keeping this in mind, if the unit was level 101, it would be a 100% DMG buff Levels after level 80 give a lower amount of DMG buff (the amount is currently unknown), also please keep in mind that Wish & Bellma have a different scale buff with levels.
Let’s make it simple: Let’s say there’s a level 1 unit that does 100 dmg every 5 seconds, that’s 20 DPS, and increases by 100 dmg every upgrade.
The current max level that a unit can achieve is 150.
For the next table, it’ll show you how level buffs the dmg.

Essentially, each level is a percent buff. (%) since level 1 is the base stat, in order to double it, you need to add on another 100 levels, which is level 101.
Exp 1, a leveling unit
There are also special units available from Gold Summons (see Summoning) and Infinite Mode known as EXP units, units giving much more experience than other units of their tier. But, they are the worst units in the game (for battling) and cannot be fed. With the level cap being level 150, Units can have a 2.4x (2.162x to be exact) DMG buff when maxed. (*)
You would need approximately 34 EXP III’s to max out a unit to level 120.
Strategies
Strategy 1 (For beginners):
Play Infinite Mode and sell your units at wave 20 to purposefully lose. You earn 2 EXP I (Sometimes 2 EXP II, or 1 EXP I, 1 EXP II) doing this strategy.
Strategy 2 (Best method if you’re in a hurry) :
Strategy 3 (For high levels, Best Strategy) :
Play Infinite Mode (Extreme) and try to auto skip full way to wave 60, this is just like damage farming but our main goal here are the EXP units. It is suggested to play with duo for this strategy to maximize waves cleared without the annnoying max units reached. You can check our Infinite Mode Units Tier List or in the discord server to find good units to use. It takes around 30 to finish 1 run. You get approximately 3 EXP III’s (Upon evolving all EXPs to EXP III) depending on how many waves you survived and your luck (Go to Infinite Mode or go to «Evolutions» section below for EXP I and II chances). This strategy is the most efficient for your time, but you need to have good units and level 50+ (To be able to bring 6 units).

All Star Tower Defense is the most popular TD game on Roblox, and there are over 100 characters available. It goes without saying that some characters are just built differently. Certain characters are better for different modes, but regardless of that, we can still rank them by overall strength so that you know who you need to summon. In this guide, we’ll provide a complete All Star Tower Defense tier list.
Remember that tier lists are somewhat subjective, so the character we put in the top-tier may not be the ones you pick. There’s a general consensus, however, that some characters are just overall much better than others. Please do not feel discouraged not to play someone because we don’t rank them high. Instead, you can use this guide as a sort of reference, so you’ll know who to summon when the suitable banner pops up.
We will also review some of the best characters in the game and explain what makes them so good and why you should consider putting them in your rotation. Characters can have up to six-star rarities, but the star rating is not everything. Generally, six stars are all very powerful, but you might still see some four-star characters in S-tier. Refer to the All Star Tower Defense tier list below and use CTRL+F on your keyboard to search for specific characters.

Who are the best characters in All Star Tower Defense?
The best characters in All Star Tower Defense include:
Bellma (SUPER Money Corp)
Bellma is by far the best unit in the game, netting you around 75,000 by placing just one of her. A five-star support unit based on Bulma from Dragon Ball, Bellma (Money Corp) can evolve into this by using 2 Bellma (Money Corp), 2 Alien Soldier, 2 Alien Soldier II, and 2 Alien Soldier III. She is easily the most important unit to focus on getting as soon as possible.
Flower Magus
Flower Magus, a four-star AoE support unit based on Merlin from Fate/Grand Order, provides incredible range buffs. Combine with units like Gate (Gilgamesh) and Kovegu (Gogeta) for some nice effectiveness. Overall, it’s a solid unit and one of the best support towers in the game.
Mysterious X
Mysterious X, or Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen, is the meta time stop unit in All Star Tower Defense right now, bringing him right to the top of the tier list. You can only get him from Hero Summon and is super effective for Infinite Mode.
Onwin
Onwin, or Erwin from Attack on Titan, is another amazing support tower for the triple damage. The manual ability increases Towers’ damage within his radius by a percentage. Carry a Bomba Orb (Trial 2 Extreme) for even more effectiveness and utility.
Black Stache (Timeskip)
Black Stache, a six-star based on Blackbeard from One Piece, is the evolution of Black Stache. It’s an average damage dealer, but extremely useful thanks to the slowing effect. It’s a tough one to acquire, as it requires Black Stache, Whitestache, 4 Pirate Agent, 3 Pirate Agent III, 2 Pirate Agent IV, and 1 Pirate Agent V.
Paper Beauty (Awoken)
Paper Beauty is an all-around very good character for pretty much every mode in the game. While not at the very top of our list, it is definitely a unit you should prioritize getting as soon as possible if you are new to All Star Tower Defense so that you can clear Extreme Mode with no problem.

Hero Summon
This is what a normal banner looks like
Hero Summon is an area in the lobby where players can obtain both primary and secondary characters with both gems and gold. All characters can be obtained from this banner other than a couple 5 star exceptions for example: Legendary Borul and Wrathdioas Rage (Meliodas) and all 6 stars. It is located in the lobby across the Infinite Mode area. There is also a “Summon” button on the left side of the screen that teleport the player to the Hero Summon when clicked. The units in the banner change every hour. If a player is still summoning while a banner changes, they will receive units from the previous banner.

By going to the official All Star Tower Defense Discord, server members can track the banner every hour in #banner-public.
Types of summons
Gem Summon
Gem SummonThe Gem Summon is the main way to obtain primary characters. The gem Summon is separated into 2 part, Banner X and Y and both of them consists of one 5 star, two 4 stars and three 3 stars. Banner X is available to any players, while Banner Y can only be used by player who has beat Ant kingdom. To make the game more balance, banner X’s units is always worse than banner Y. And once you unlocked banner Y, you are free to switch between the 2 banners.
Gold Summon Info
Gold Summon InfoThe Gold Summon consists of secondary units that are usually used to evolve primary units.
Pity System Calculations
The Pity System is a system that guarantees a player a 5-star after 59 summons. It only resets after a player spins 60 times, even if they get a 5-star before the 60th summon.
