I get this when I try and join any nearby lobby, any friend or accept any invite. I can connect to anything on my smurf, just not this account. I can join games solo or invite people to my lobby and play no problem but I can’t join them.
Any suggestions? This ever happened to anyone else?

Restart your modem/router, if you don’t know how, unplug it and leave it for 10 seconds before plugging it back again, but before doing that, do ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew.

Tried and it didn’t help, but thank you.
So try this i have never have this problem so dont really know if that will fix the problem but you can try nohing bad will happen
1. From your Steam Client, open the Settings panel by selecting «Steam > Settings» from the top left client menu.
2. In the Settings panel, select the Downloads tab and you’ll find the «Clear Download Cache» button at the bottom.

Посмотрите консоль при перезагрузке чтобы кфг подгрузился Done.

Было подобное после того как я в конфиге написал на русском Game_Name С кодировкой перепутал)
Попробуй для начала поставить дефф.конфиг без изменений.

I just wasted almost 3 hours downloading/installing mods, getting «client not responding» and sticking on snapshot, to be told when I finally managed to connect that I am not authorised to join.
There are over 70,000+ unofficial servers out there. Servers that have white lists are not distinguishable from other servers until you attempt to access them. You could opt to find the server’s website and see if they’ve a way to join by applying(rp servers are usually like this) if you wished.
Use the battlemetrics website if you’re trying to search for servers and not the in game menu as it cannot comprehensively show all servers available due to how it interacts with steam. Its what most folks use.
As a former operator of unofficial servers with a whitelist, after noticing people still trying to join, I then added a password, which seemed to prevent that.
I agree, that whitelisted servers should be a parameter that is shown as such in server listings.

Valve is not one big studio, it is built from many small dev teams working around one topic.
Each Valve employee can leave and join other dev studio at any time.
VAC is product itself, which means that TF2 devs can’t edit it without permission from VAC dev team. Muting F2P’s to limit reputation loss and to limit bot spam was the only option that TF2 dev team had at that time.
Remember that Covid is still on the world, which limits communication between two dev teams. And other thing to remember is that TF2 dev team is in small digits when compared to the CS:GO dev team.
